Following the approval of a RM16 million budget from the Ministry of Health, the hospital is poised to establish its own Invasive Catheterization Lab (ICL), a move heralded as a game changer for the region’s 1.5 million inhabitants. This crucial investment will bring life-saving cardiac interventions directly to the people of Northern Sarawak, eliminating the significant risks, financial burdens, and emotional distress associated with long-distance medical transfers and ensuring that timely, advanced care is finally within reach.
